Callatya
Are they definitely a pair? How old is that female supposed to be? Gorgeous nonetheless *thinks fry thoughts*
Phil
Well i got photos of 4 pairs to choose from and this female looked totally differnt to the others, the same as the male did. So i presume they are the same They are 3.2 months old, but the thai fish always seem huge! :)

splendidbetta
Gorgeous pair Phil! good luck with them http://ausaqua.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif I bet they are a variation of the dragons, perhaps from red copper dragon x red gold dragon or something along those lines? Do you have background info Phil? Strain name definately imo, and it suits them very well http://ausaqua.net/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif

Phil
Thanks everyone. I am not sure what 'Crystal' means. To me it looks just like a red dragon that dosent have masking. Either way, i love them!

Phil
I got this pair today. The male is soooo beautiful in real life, and so active, he has been flaring non stop for the last hour at the female floating in his tank! Here are some quick pics, i really should of cleaned the glass:
VickiPS
By gee, he's beautiful, Phil! "Crystal" is a good name -- he reminds me of red beaded velvet. How gorgeous :P
Robbies Betta
WOW, look at all that finnage, very nice Phil is he that purple colour in real life, or more the Gold colour in the first pic? I luv the look of the purple and red tho Good luk with them :P
Phil
Sorry for not replying Robbie! It is a purplish colour. Its strange because the metallic bits have the purplish sheen of copper, but the metallic colour isnt copper.
Phil
The female is actually a real looker in real life, this is a bad pic, but she is in a big tank so was difficult to get a better one:
fuzzy_dragonfly
Awesome , They are fantastic! And that male  , that's a whole lot of fin for such a little fish , get a load of those ventrals!

splendidbetta
OUCH! He chewed it? At least he came with hardly any damage and lovely full fins... others of us havn't been so lucky Have you exposed him to other fish for longer flaring periods lately? Done a stressful WC? Chuckie
INGRATE!!!!! As stefan said though, you did at least get to see him in his glory - unlike ANY of the bettas I got on my last shipment! And this way you need have no reservations about spawning him in case he gets damaged. :D
Callatya
Did he do that himself? GEEZ he is flexible!
Phil
Well he was the only one in his tank Ab I added a corner filter to his tank with bubbles on really softly, that is the only thing that i can think of Stefan. And Lisa, he is already in the spawning tank, his chunky female is floating and there is a big nest happening :)
Leela
Welcome to my world Phil! Geez how on earth did he reach all the way back there?????? Must be a yoga-betta.....
