Beano
The usual shop I go to... Stafford Aquarama in Brisbane. They import their betta's. Their new shipments come in on Thursdays (don't know how often) but I knew they were getting a shipment in last Thursday. They said all the really really good ones sell that day (people come in specially to snap up the good fish). I love this fish, he's got great deportment! Beano
Nope - I've only been breeding crowntails. I should have bought a copper HM female to go with this one... Oh well, maybe next time. Edited July 16, 2007 by Beano

Beano
well, you're right about him being a showoff - he's built this mammoth bubblenest! Like it's the hugest nest I've ever seen. And layers upon layers thick, it's almost 1cm out of the water!
Robbies Betta
very nice fish there The thing with showoffs(that I've found) is that they build the BST bubbl;e nests in their containers, and then when they go into the spawning tank, all they do is strut their stuff for the female and that's bout it :)

Beano
Yeah, he might be all fins no action... I don't think I can breed him, he's so preety! Maybe...
Sapphire
 He's absolutely beautiful. I hope you are able to breed from him. You never know, when you look like that you should take advantage of it. Kat.
Beano
Ack!! Chewed dorsal!!!!! Why would it target only the dorsal though? Looks like maybe finrot? The webbing is reducing slightly on the anal as well. Looks like it's ripped on the dorsal though, but the rays seem to be intact. AGHHHH! Oh well I guess he's a breeder now... Beano
for a chewed/finrot fish, he still holds his fins out proudly! Great deportment, is that a breedable trait?
shooshoo
I have a HM copper girl that i was planning to breed, but i don't have the time right now. her sibling brother is OHM full copper with the same red wash in the ventrals and anal so my guess is they'd be a good match. SO, if you indeed are keen on getting this boy jiggy then i've got a girl to pimp out. lol. let me know ;)
Beano
oh your back in Brisbane!!!! I'll have to see how my next work rotation goes - so far it's pretty busy I swap rotations next week - if it gets quieter, I'll think about breeding him. Thanks for the offer!
