Ned
i was thinking to just laminate some black cardboard and tape it to the side of the glass? i got females in my bays atm but when i put the males in there ill need to card it.
Bettarazzi
I think laminating works although I haven't done that myself. My bettas are in jars or small tanks so I just slip ordinary card in between. You can get coloured plastic dividers from OfficeWorks which would save you the laminating. They might be too thin, though.

Jess
I used those plastic dividers cut to size. They are whispy thin and easy clean.
Ned
do they work though? im sure you'd be able to see something through it but i doubt it would be enough to flare up over would it?
Fishchick
laminated cardboard works well. cheaper if you can get something ready made though.

Joepmaster
I personally use the plastic back of these maps to card my fish: The advantage is that you can get them in all colors you want (non-see-through) and they are plastic so it doesn't matter if they get wet. Many greetings from the Netherlands , Joep
Chuckie
they look ideal, actually. Thanks, Joep!
Ned
That looks similar to mine, it was a pretty thin plastic, except i had the same colour front and back. *value for money* Its working really well. Im happy with it.
Mishy
coming a little late in, but I use the old music folders (the ones with clear plastic pockets) covers for a studier card, as well as the plastic folder dividers.
Betta_Endeavours
We'll be designing our barracks this weekend. I still have to work out how I want to lay it out so that indivials can be visually isolated (not see other bettas) when needed. We'll see how it goes.
