duke
I recently got my frist fish, a male beta. Well actually I did have two gold fish that were bought at the Royal Adelaide Show when I was about 5 years old. Woke one morning to find them both floating.. Enough about that anyway. The beta seems happy and all. Im considering getting a bigger tank and my gf just got one recently, a female, so we can try breeding them. So far I seem to only have one main problem is that the heater I have seems to be too big for the tank. Im tempted to mount it on a slight angle but I can't find any info on the net on why this should not be done. Well im going back to watching my beta (called sushi) until I can post a few questions to some other sections. Thanks all. Oh yeah, im from Adelaide. PeterJ
Welcome to the forum duke . The power of the heater might be more of an issue than the size. If it's got too much wattage it might heat the water too quickly.

duke
From the responses it sounds like horizontal will be fine. The tank is about 10ltrs. I have posted more about it over here in a more appropriate section of the forum. http://ausaqua.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=3542 So how many Adeladians would there be in here? Any good places to go for beta related products?
