PeachSlices
Looks good mate. :-). Do you have a chiller on this tank? Not yet but i'm still looking around for a good one or a small one. any ideas? Simon Hey Simon, the shrimp look really good. Tell me...what's with the inverted coke bottle? Hey paul, well thats the exact same thing i said when i first saw it too its a moving bed filter. mine is abit over filled i might need to take some out but first i'm looking for a flat bottomed bottle as this 2litre lipton ice tea dont work that great ....i got the idea from a guy on aquariumlife(Dean). Heres a video to explain it Simon Edited April 7, 2012 by PeachSlices
CNgo2006
The moving bed filter which uses kaldnes media keeps the nitrates from spiking, I have this Inverted coke bottle on the top of my sponge filter and works great! At first the kaldnes media won't move much but once bacteria start to grow on it and it starts to brown in color, it will move like it should (this takes app couple weeks). This was initially used for large fish farms and has only recently been used in the aquariums. Edited July 10, 2012 by Chi
