  1. Nice although with those pots you have in there the bottom end holes are quite dangerous for beta, they sometimes stick their head in and get stuck! Leading to death as they can't go up for air...

  4. depending on the temp 3-4 weeks...Just be careful with the veggies as they can pollute the tank easily, especially carrots, cucumbers, etc. If they start getting soft and mushy could really pollute the tank and kill inhabitants.
  5. Why don't you just untie the plants, place them in tank water and boil the driftwood to remove the tanins? This will give you an excuse to redo the thread to a different color...It's not that hard to tie anyway.
  6. Hi guys, After a little research I found that self cloning crayfish babies are a great live foods alternative. SO my question is are they legal to keep in Australia? Cheers Chi.
  7. My bad didn't see it in the title....
  8. Maybe a few pics, brand or where you got them from
  9. Try placing her in a clear breeder box in the same tank for a few weeks before releasing her, change the tanks decor, plants, etc..around, even better is to add more plants, rocks to break up, create territories. Good luck with her!
  10. I don't think there will be any building big enough for your addiction les! As I see it you keep getting more...LOL! Looking great by the way.
  11. yes if you keeping lower grades but for higher grades? also don't want to risk any no matter what grade, better safe than sorry. right... I have learnt that when a few of my s+ didn't make it, expensive lesson. Also I don't know if it is the water in my area but it just isn't easy without the proper substrate (buffering) minerals etc.
  12. At 85l I would recommend a decent canister filter with the shrimp guard inlet mesh to avoid sucking up shrimplets...Make sure tank and filtration system are cycled properly as this will kill your shrimp fast if uncycled (very important!) There are plenty of shrimp forums visit them and have a read.
  13. This depends on if you are able to sex them yet (will you be getting adults or juvies) if adults (sexable) then 5-7 get more females then males (3-2/4-3) if juvies (unsexable)then I would get at least 10-12 to ensure different sexes. What size tank are you keeping them in and what sort of filtration?
  14. What's with this weird infatuation with obama all of a sudden ness? I have seen you put his name on a few posts now.LOL!
  15. WD40 /degreaser or acetone will do the job. will come off nicely and easily, remember to wash bottles well afterwards.
