Nice! once they have started you can't stop them from breeding! Prepare a few new tanks as you will need them in the near future! LOL!

Nice although with those pots you have in there the bottom end holes are quite dangerous for beta, they sometimes stick their head in and get stuck! Leading to death as they can't go up for air...
  3. Daddy has become quite a nice looking butterfly...Good luck with the little ones!
  4. Great news! Glad they did a good job for you! LOL!

  7. depending on the temp 3-4 weeks...Just be careful with the veggies as they can pollute the tank easily, especially carrots, cucumbers, etc. If they start getting soft and mushy could really pollute the tank and kill inhabitants.
  8. Hi Mez, Very nice! when you said you adjusted the tap water to 4.5 in a bucket was that with chemicals (eg PH down) or some other way? I am surprised the older siblings did not eat the younger fry...So do you still have any of them? Cheers Chi.
  9. Thanks Mez (changed it LOL), I think it was Adam who told me the same thing. How did you get your PH that low, and keep it stable, may I ask? Chi.
  10. Hey Kat, If you are ever in my area again give me a buzz I will be happy to start you off with some Micro Worms and grindals. Cheers Chi.
  11. Thanks les, The truth is I already have a RO unit which I purchased for my high grade shrimp. Just thought tap water would be ok for the macs (with IAL extract, leaves and Peat Balls) but the PH will always creep back up to around 6.5-7.0 no matter how much I add so I will now use the RO for the wilds also, hope with this I can maintain a lower PH at where I want it. At least this time around he held for a day...hopefully next time around. Cheers Chi.
  12. Ph is sitting at around 6.5, I have tried to lower it further bit it just goes back up, I might try ro water.
