fuzzy_dragonfly
Somehow I keep reading this abbreviation as Humpback!!! Appologies, I have nothing to say elsewhere and wanted to contribute .
splendidbetta
 Whenever I see betta abbreviations, I read them as they are instead of what they mean, i.e. "HMPK" is always H M P K to me. Is that how you guys interpret it?
fuzzy_dragonfly
NO , It'd be a mouthful if I wanted to say DDRDTCTPK!!! or or maybe just mongrel betta would suit it if it has more than 4 letters . Or even better still, designer betta 8) like a designer dog . LOL . I've been a bit off colour lately and stuck in bed....I needed something to talk about besides attacking people on facebook . Sara_01
I'm with Stefan, when talking to other people about them I also tend to refer to bettas as 'P K's or 'H M's rather than plakats or halfmoons.

Callatya
I do the same, buyt I tend to mentally convert the abbreviations into real works when I'm talking to people in person. Strangely, I don't often do that for DT, VT or CT, perhaps because they are quite short and snappy already.
Canfeleq
I seem to be half and half, HMPK for example, to me is Half Moon PK.... and so on. Hope you're feeling better soon
Chuckie
I see and say the abbreviations as the full words.

fuzzy_dragonfly
I'm better now thanks. I know it's silly, but it's funny how people interpret abbreviations.
