shadoh Posted February 9, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 9, 2012 Thanks @ Sarah (Pyrefly) - When I pulled the fish out of their packaging yesterday after arriving, the steel female had breeding bars and all fish were well conditioned, so I figured - why not throw them straight into the spawn tank? That steel girl has the most wonderful broad 14 ray dorsal. Hoping for some DT's in a couple of generations! In the meantime, I will be happy with the offspring of this pairing having their mothers broad dorsal, so it is a step in the right direction to producing some show quality finnage for the IBC show (notice how I'm talking as if these pairs spawning is a done deal - I figure if I can convince myself, I can convince the fish ) The colour of the cambodian marble female is better than I had expected (the photo I bought the pair off didn't really show her finnage, but from what I could see, there was a fair bit of red.)
