Callatya
Impossible Tank same principle as the upside-down bottle pet waterers, I guess? What do you think? I don't know what I'd use it for, but it looks really interesting!

splendidbetta
If the tank is not open to the air, i.e. the water is filled right up to the tank's ceiling, then the water will not gush out of the feeder openings in the side. If I remember correctly, this is due to an imbalance in the pressures between water and air. The tank is practically a vacuum.
splendidbetta
And yes I think it is doable on a smaller scale, but not for bettas or other surface breathers. Did you read the comments in that link? Some were helpful :giggle:

Puggle
They've got an air-stone in the little tank in the you-tube video. Wouldn't that mess things up? The air would collect in the top tank and eventually all the water would come out the bottom Waterchanges would be interesting. And possibly very damp
Beano
That's what i thought with the air stone!

divy
wow thats soo cool i want one but you right puggle water changes would be interesting i think the air stone dosnt mess the vaccuum up because the tank has a built in vaccuum pump the holds the pressure but.. i could be wrong
