" o_O" anyway what do u guys think?? does any1 have these species b4?? erwin Edited August 24, 2007 by windyzz
Robbies Betta
I don't know, but I feel like a sceptic with them. the stripe is just way to un-natural. and the only way I can think of it getting on there is thru "laser burning" tho I have absolutely NO IDEA so am just theorising
Stuart Elflett
They're quite legitimate - search google, you'll find some dedicated catfish sites that have them listed by species numbers, just like Pleco's... (I'd tell you where to look but don't want to get in trouble for linking to other material) - I *nearly* managed to get hold of a pair of 'green stripe', which are the same, but green, but got serious outbid by someone who just *had* to have them... they shoal quite happily with albinos, bronzes, etc... Very, very uncommon in Australia as yet...
windyzz
yahh.. i guess its kinda a new find... It'll look awesome in community tank i reckon, especially if u have different laser colors
Callatya
Fantastic little things, they look pretty wild hey!? If you think about it, they are no more weirdly coloured than neons or glolites, but somhow on a cory it looks totally fake :(
windyzz
LOL.. I cant imagine having different coloured tetras (rummy-rose, neon tetras, etc) with these neon corydoras on the bottom of the tank. *Glow in the dark tank* xD
Mishy
yep these are sold at the fish actions over in Melb, and they're referred to here as Neons. Unfortunately I'm always outbid by others... but I have seen neon greens, reds and yellows. Truly something to behold.

Bettarazzi
We need pics from you guys that have them. The AB link doesn't work anymore. Besides it's different if the fish actually lives in a forum member's tank.
Guest kuhni
Here is a photo of when I only had 5, unfortunately I can't seem to get a great photo of the group now. The Best I could get.

Bettarazzi
Very interesting looking fish. They don't look all that unnatural to me. Might think differently if I saw them in real life. Thanks kuhni!
Guest kuhni
Nah they are totally natural. Have already been bred by many aquarists overseas. Most likely a few in australia as well. People were skeptical at first, but the fry of the cories in question also attained this orange fluoro stripe over-ruling any doubt that there ever was.
