BBS, do I use a straw or baster and give shrimp and brine water to my fry?

Or do I need to "strain" the BBS?

I never rinse hehe and use a syringe with some air pipe on the end, it doesnt matter what you use but you want more bbs then water goin in the tank.

I use airline to siphon the bbs out of the container, avoiding the egg shells as much as possible. This is strained and then if it's only going into one tank I dunk the strainer into the tank. Or if it's going to several tanks I put it in a container with some fresh water or tank water whichever is handy so that I can slop a bit into each tank that needs bbs.

Gosh, I'm so lazy i just use a turkey baster and put it straight into the tank (this is bad, right?)

not if your siphoning and replacing with freshwater often youd be reducing salt lvl with each change !

I have a small sieve with a fine mesh that is small enough to strain bbs, rotifers and vinegar eels .... then just dip it in fresh water and use a syringe to distribute in tanks.....

so with my fry being 3 weeks old..... can i start to change the water out

if you replace the water gently/slowly with an airline pipe,

it should be fine ^_^
