Melbourne_betta_HM Posted May 2, 2011 Report Share Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) Male : is the one under the IAL with the bright red cheeks Female : is the one swimming around she just lost her breeding colors and has now gone back to her dark brown color But as u can see still still has her eggs( breeding color 2 thick horizontal stripes that runs along her body with 2 dot on the lower jaw) The courting that happened on saturday night ended up failing as the male couldn't wrap the female properly, Courting lasted 1 whole day and no egg were produced Hope they will try again soon Setup Fish Breeding pair of wild caught betta macrostoma 2x peppermint cats 2ft tank Using play sand I got from bunnings as substrate 1x small driftwood 2x very small driftwood And alot of plants that I don't know the name of lol:) Ph 4.5 Temp 25 degrees Lot and lots of IAL in the tank Very dim lighting Edited May 2, 2011 by Melbourne_betta_HM Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
