GeraldtonWA
Thanks for sharing your video. I notice your tank is very still. What sort of filter do you have? Also I am having trouble keeping plants alive. What is your secret? Do i need a special light?

shadoh
Thanks guys. @Jennie, he's the only boy I have left from my yellow "koi" marble spawn. He's really perked up from a depressive little fish who never had a big appetite. He's really thrived in the big tank to the point where I am considering him as part of my breeding program. I might put him with my steel blue HM girl to contribute to my blue marble line. @Geraldton, I have an internal canister filter in there set at the lowest speed. As it still had a strong current, I inserted a piece of sponge into the start of the spraybar to slow it down. As for lighting, I am using low light plants with a twin t8 light over the tank. Check your plants light requirements, that may be your problem. Also, are your plants in plain gravel? If so, they more than likely will need some kind of fertilizer. little_troppo
Awesome Shadoh, Have you tried freeze dried bloodworms? My fish absolutely love them and you can stick it to the glass and it stays on there, I find it good way to see all my shy fish

Matt_95
Looks great Jarrod!!! @geraldton, where are your plants from? They may also be terrestrial plants that the lfs sell as aquatic so you come back and buy more as they die...
Wild Nut
Beautiful male. Bettas are such pigs. Mine literally hang off my tweezers if I stick them in there and I can pull them partway out of the water.
les
Loving King Leo, he should have his own country and harem so dont give up on the koi. I do like the idea of putting him over a blue HM girl that could make for some stunning prodigie Cheers Les
