fishfin Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Kebab's were on the menu last night. Do you think the fish enjoyed them? LOL. xox Leonie xox
Bec Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 What is the white stuff ... fish sure look like they are enjoying it
fishfin Posted September 4, 2010 Author Report Posted September 4, 2010 Cucumber and baby spinach. :D
fishish Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Food presentation always improves its flavour is that nasty mollie i spy there in second pic looking her best? ;)
Yanagi Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 Haha, that's great! Wish I'd thought of that before buying a veggie clip (surprisingly expensive!).
zhong89 Posted September 4, 2010 Report Posted September 4, 2010 How did you get it to sink? Mine just float with the food... I usually microwave the veggies but I put them into the tank to get them to sink, but this method seems much better
fishfin Posted September 4, 2010 Author Report Posted September 4, 2010 Yep, that's the moody Mollie, fighting for the best spot around the kebab. I didn't cook the cucumber, just peeled it and removed the seeds. I soaked the baby spinach in some hot water for a few minutes. I just poked the skewers deep into the substrate and then wedged it against the glass and they won't move at all. B)
fishfin Posted September 5, 2010 Author Report Posted September 5, 2010 Yes Sarah, the Bettas love it!
Sarah Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Thanks. I think I'll try that one day. :D
tracey6565 Posted September 5, 2010 Report Posted September 5, 2010 Great idea fishfin!! Vegies are so hard to keep from floating and that is such a simple effective idea. You can be sure I'll be copying that! :applaud:
