sunnylass Posted January 30, 2009 Report Share Posted January 30, 2009 My gorgeous CT girl Panda, who was the mum from my latest spawn, never really recovered from the breeding session, and swelled up like a balloon. I put her to sleep tonight, which I found really sad because she was a gorgeous little thing. That's two adults I've lost now, one male and one female, this spawning thing is rather brutal on them. jo oakley Posted January 30, 2009 Report Share Posted January 30, 2009 I am sorry to hear about your loved CT girl I find that CT seem to blow up more than any other Betta I have one male at the moment that has got so big I can almost see through him after spawning I have been putting off a trip to the freezer. I'm an avid animal lover and these little guys and gals are all part of my menagerie and all much loved. I had to keep stopping myself from going to the freezer and getting her back out. I had tried everything I could to save her and nothing was working so it was the kindest thing to do in the end, doesnt make it any easier though.
