tablet plant fertilisers?

Recommended Posts

ok, has anyone used these before?? or just the liquid fert?? what i really want to know is are they any good?? and has anyone used the ones i've listed below? any comments about them?

i was thinking of using tablets as they take the nutrients to right where they're needed, and these were the ones i was tossing between:

Sera Florenette A 50 Tablets (1/20L once a week)

$15.70

Sera Floreplus 150 Tabs (1/20L once a fortnight)

$32.15

Aquasonic Hydrogrow 250 Tablets (1/40L once a week)

$28.55

I've used API's root tabs, they worked really well, but were kind of expensive for the amount of plants I have... $25 for a dozen tabs, 6 in my 140L at a time...

I now use Manutec 'foliage' plant tabs (palm and fern, when I can get them) from Big W and a few hardware stores, trimmed to 1cm lengths, pushed under each plant - pretty much perfect in NPK, and trace elements, and they dissolve really slowly - 24 5cm spikes cost $3.43 odd...

I use the florenette on things like anubias and java fern with pretty good results. I wouldn't call it explosive growth, but it was healthier. I tend to underdose ferts and at the time I was working with 0.8wpg.

Ain't nothing gunna explode in that lighting! :)
