I don't know much about keeping them and would like information about water hardness PH Types of food Diseases And what are show quality guppies? Any info would be helpful. Jess Posted June 18, 2006 Report Share Posted June 18, 2006 Hi Aiden, Guppies are really hardy, I would say you can leave in them in just about any water. I wouldn't worry about them, just make sure they are in heated water. Show guppies are the guppies that people breed for certain colours, tail types etc.. They get right into genetics like betta breeders do. You can get show guppies in from some importers. I also found that you can find some fairly good quality guppies from aquariums these days. Some people start off with a bunch and start their own lines by selective breeding. I think Serkan (KillieOrCory) breeds guppies.
