shadoh
I have noticed a shift of the number of people breeding their bettas during the cooler months (myself included). My reasoning is to have fry ready to jar/show/rehome in the warmer months. My next goal is to attempt to have one spawn a month to keep up supply of fish for Betta Pals, donations, shows and breeding stock at any time. What time/s of the year do you breed and why?Jarrod
JayM
I'm conditioning at the moment as previous august spawns have been successful. So plan to spawn in august/september. I don't over winter due to electricity costs.
shadoh
Looking back at previous spawns, I seem to breed most during March - July. I guess that's because I've been so involved with shows and club admin during the rest of the time. Jarrod
Bettarazzi
I've had more success in winter I think because I have more control over light and heat.
