My first betta sneak peak

Just wanted to share my joy me & my family's first betta Oscar (Wilde) that we got today.

He's living in a very comfy 22 litres planted tank. More pics will come of him & his home as daylight strikes (and the plants take of, still waiting for some lileaopsis to arrive for a cushy carpet)

Yay!

6ftaquaman@ What came first, the hair colour or the betta? I'm a hairdresser, well, student, soon certified, I like fun hair so it changes quite a lot. But I like strong colours so perhaps not so strange I love beutiful colorful bettas  Saying that I like the black ones too, they are all so pretty!

Briztoon@ it's not a 6 ft tank, that be HUGE. It's 16" 9" 11" so still pretty huge for one little betta

I thought the tank feelt pretty bare & little Oscar seemed to think it was to open so I planted some liliapsosis grass in a few clumps yesterday, he seemed quite freaked out by this, might be the strong green colours, he calmed down somewhat but keeps swimming speedily along the length of the tank going purposefully through the bubbles so the push him down & the goes under & up along the heater, it looks a bit like a game of his.. He does this quite energetically & over & over again (occasional breaks). Is this normal, I'm not sure if he is happy or stressed??

Now he does hang out next to the grass & for the first time gone back to his little hide out under the anubis driftwood (can't help feeling he looks like a dog when he lays there). I got the light on for about 12 hours a day & when I turn it of he continues going mad, should i cover his tank?
