GeraldtonWA
I have a small shhet of glass on top of my worm culture, but when I remove it to harvest I find that the worms are mixed with earth, food and debris. It's hard to get a clean harvest. What is the secret?
forever_and_a_day
how much dirt are we talking? a rise with water and feed with a pipette or something should solve the problem of a little bit of dirt. make sure the glass is just sitting ontop and not pushing into the media? i use plastic needlepoint canvas and a soiless culture so i can't help much :P
paul
You could lay some plastic needlepoint canvas or just some fly screen over the soil, then place to food on that, then the glass lying ontop. This would create a simple barrier to keep the dirt off the glass.
CNgo2006
how about going soil less altogether? A lot of people have had a lot of success with the green rectangle dish wash scrubby things instead of soil.
