Yanagi
I bought a 2nd hand fish tank, went and picked it up and got it home to realize the filter is missing pieces? It looks just like all there is to it is the pump motor, no cartridge/container to put all the media in. There is no instruction manual. Can the filter be turned off separate from the light/heater? Not really sure how it's supposed to work. It's a 'Mirabello Complete Aquarium System - 30 litres - Standard MIR30'. Pics in case they help.. tlc33
Forgive me Yan but, have you tried a google search?
Yanagi
Yep, I found replacement filter media cartridges for sale, found photos that advertise the tank, but don't show how the filter is supposed to look. Nothing that helped.
tlc33
In that case it may be worth ringing a few pet shops to see if they stock that type of tank. You may be able to get the advice you need that way. Worth a try???
fishbites
would be just as easy to use a small sponge filter or a small 200l/hr power filter with a spray bar in that size tank.... probably a lot cheaper than buying replacement parts for it.... Yanagi
The problem is the heater, light and filter are all built into it and it seems you can only have them all on, or all off. Which means I need the rest to this filter. :/ I'd much rather use something else, believe me. I was kinda hoping someone here would own one. Ah well, I'll just have to go searching for places that sell this tank and see if I can pick their brains.
Yanagi
Nevermind, my dad pulled the thing apart and removed the filter completely. Problem solved! Heh
