Phil Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Hey Everyone, Just wondering if anyone knows what this plant is? The first pic is how it looks growing out of water, i have it in a pot with no drainage around a papyrus plant, and the second is of it growing in my tank, it has grown about 20cm in 3 days! I am thinking milfoil, but am not sure:
Mango4Jade Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Phil, I looking like milfoil but it isnt. I've seen these at my lfs as Ambula and it grows out of the tank too. The leaves that are out of the water is exactly that same as the ones on the top image and the submerges leaves are similar to the pic you have provided. Another similar plants is in the milfoil family (Myriophyllum mattogrossense). Very similar plant IMHO. Btw, you think you can bring me a few small clippings of that plant on the Oct get together? I want to see if I can grow it and see if my friends can ID it. HTH Mango <_<
Phil Posted October 3, 2005 Author Report Posted October 3, 2005 Thanks Mango, it deffenetly isnt ambula though. I will bring you some cuttings and if anyone else wants any, let me know <_<

Mango4Jade Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Phil is it possible to get a bird's eye view on the submerged specimen?
