Bettamuse
These are a couple of barracks I built a while back. They are from 6mm acrylic and pine. The water flows through and run out the end. BM
Anasfire
Very nice set up. How many bettas can it hold and does it get connected up to a sump with pump?
brettc777
Nice! Few questions for the top picture How does water flow work? under dividers? Is the acrylic scrap?, acrylic seems to be pretty expensive (same as figther4u Q) Does it hook up to a sump? or is water flushed through the system every day through a pump? Bettamuse
They were hooked up to a sump. One with a UV light the other without. There was no difference in the fish between the two. These were only used for fish we had bred, this was done for disease control. The dividers were up off the bottom so the water could run under them. The end compartment never had fish in it as a lot of the wast would gather there before being syphoned out. The acrylic was scrap. It was too scratched to be of use for its original purpose but fine for the barracks.

Bettamuse
Yes the Acrylic was scrap. Any acrylic glue will do as they are solvent based and that will evaporate once dried. It was bent into a āUā shape 900mm long and then the ends glued on and dividers glued in with acrylic glue. As an added safety I also put some silicon on the inside joins of the ends. Acrylic is handy as you can drill it with a whole saw for the plumbing.
Bettarazzi
That wasn't there when I was asking my questions. And you know this forum has been soooooo quiet lately you could take an hour to write your response without crossing over with anyone. But suddenly.....
