Stuart Elflett
Most fish lose colouration with a change of environment, temperature, PH, etc - keep an eye on her, but see if she colours back up as she settles in... As far as breeding or the like goes, the colour the fish 'can be' is the colour they should breed to, not necessarily the colour they're displaying... (allowing for dominant colours, etc... but you know what I mean, right??)
y2jdaze
i love that blue boy give the girl a chance, girls stress easy so she will probably gain her colour back as she settles into her new home and the stripes will vanish :P
Bettarazzi
Yeah it can take a while for the girls to colour up. I have a red mongrel girl who I think shows her horizontal stripes when she's relaxed. She's never coloured up. I should put her in front of a boy and see what happens. Beano
Same. My first girl I bought this year has permanent double black horizontal lines. They only really go away when she's spawning.
