Leela
Hi all, Just thought I'd show some pics of my new PK I picked up from JL yesterday. I'm totally in love with him . Bred by Banleangbettas - Thailand. He's the first marble I've encountered with such an amazing colour differentiation, each scale seems to crescendo to white at his head, its like looking at an oil painting This was his auction photo - BY BANLEANGBETTAS Pics from today I have a royal blue HMPK female on the way to breed with him. What does everyone think? Cheers O
splendidbetta
Oh WOW! He is a trad PK, not a HMPK, but the HMPK girl you're getting for him should fix up those edges a bit Well done.
Leela
Yep Stefan, I wanted a couple of trad PK males so I could attempt a HMPK or 'Shortmoon' line for myself. Hopefully the crosses will produce some HMPK fry.
splendidbetta
It will probably be a few generations before you get HMPKs that can be bred to LF HMs and not produce VTs. Depends on the background of the trad male, as well as the royal female. Good luck
debstep
He is absolutely stunning, the colouring is just outstanding- will be very interesting to see what he produces with your girl Best of luck breeding him Deb
fightingfishfancier
He's absoultely beautiful. Might have to look at buying internationally myself at some point, trying to restrict myself at the moment!! good luck with your breeding program for him. splendidbetta
Nothing wrong with Trads at all I just commented about that because Leela wrote she was breeding him to a HMPK.
Leela
Thanks everyone! Something I noticed about him is his size, for a 3.5 month old male he's huge! As big as my half-giant VT! In the next shipment my HMPK female is coming, and I also got a royal blue OHMPK male, an absolute stunner. I'm going to mostly get out of HM's and into the plakats now, so I'll be selling a lot of my HM's soon. I also bought a Black/Orange trad. PK male and sibling female, will get pics later.
