BettaObsessed
I havent seen my peppermint bristlenoses for at least a week. Should I check all the hiding spots to make sure they are still alive somewhere or should I just wait a little longer in case they are getting ready to breed somewhere??? There are really only 2 places they could be, the hollow driftwood log which has my female bettas swimming through it constantly or the hollow tower decoration that is in there. Edit: Just as I finished typing this I went back to the tank to have a look and saw one of them between the tower and the end of the driftwood. It disappeared again as soon as I moved closer but I didn't see which way it went. Edited September 15, 2012 by BettaObsessed
6ftaquaman
Yeah they hide alot so I would not panic. Usually when they are not hiding they are sucking the front glass of the tank! Do you have the ones that look closer to black than brown with small white dots or brown with bigger white dots?
BettaObsessed
The almost black ones as well as 3 brown bn and 2 albino. Tank is slightly overstocked so am trying to work out if I should move some to another tank or get rid of all the tetras in there. Decisions decisions! 6ftaquaman
Cool, I want to get one of the almost black ones for my tank eventually. Good luck with the breeding, it would probably be best to disturb the tetras and leave the catfish alone although im sure its easier to catch the cats than it is the tetras. Maybe you can borrow the net from that super trauler they just banned from australian waters
Zui
My peps are always hiding. It's normal for you not to see them . The only time i see my male is when he is in the breeding cave.
