BettaObsessed
Can I safely put a BN in my fry tank and if so, will it clean up the bottom of the tank a little for me?
newbreed
I have kept BN in all of my guppy fry tanks and had no dramas. They will clean up any excess flake or powdered foods, but may need their own algae wafers or similar to maintain a full diet. They will help keep down algae too. brettc777
I use to do it. Its good, they clean up the leftover food. Just remember to have wood in there as well. Don’t have too many though, it can have the opposite effect and create too much bioload.
zhong89
I agree with brett if your tank is small it's not a good idea coz they need really good oxygenated water and also to grow your fry need good water conditions. BNs are known to be little poo machines will may not be good for your tank
