sunnylass
One of my crowntail pair have spawned, and it seems that the eggs keep falling out of the bubble nest. Dad is constantly collecting them off the bottom of the tank and putting them back in the nest. They have only spawned today so I know they arent hatching yet. If they keep falling out, will they even hatch?
briztoon
I'm a noob to bettas and have just had my first spawn. The same happened with my male, but it seems quite a lot of the fry hatched. I think with most fish, the first couple of spawns are a learning experience untill they get the hang of it. jondo
its normal for the eggs to fall down for wateva reason. when i did a fatherless hatch most of the eggs were on the ground and yes they did hatch so you got nothin to worry bout. Chuckie
They should still be fine. Even if he abandons them on the bottom of the tank they may IME be ok, depending on the water level. The shallower the better in that case.
sunnylass
Phew thanks everyone for that. This dad is the same daddy for my other spawn that is about three weeks old now. He is a fantastic boy!
