Guest TerryR
Hi all Some of you may know me from the PCS forums, I breed lots of cichlids natives catfish and bichirs. I was recently given some B.smaragdina so I have set them up for breeding. I have been lurking on your forum for a couple of weeks and noticed lots of people have trouble with brine shrimp and decapusulated BS. My fishroom goes through 450 grms of brine shrimp every 2 months ( I breed angels by the thousand) the brine shrimp are decapsulated and a hatch rate of 90% is normal I have a Perth based wholesale Aquarium plant business and I am selling decapsulated BS by mail. I decapsulate weekly and all supplies are from my own stock. I can supply normal BS but for the price I am charging for decapsulated they are not worth bothering with Check the classifieds for more details Cheers Terry Edited June 15, 2009 by TerryR

Chuckie
Hi Terry What kind of Angels do you breed, and what's your market for them? :)
Guest TerryR
Hi Lilli Most of my angels are aquarium strains, for about 7 years I have been line breeding to try to produce a red angel. I started with a pair of dark marbles that had fry with a pink tinge in the dorsal fin, now I have bright orange angels that are just starting to breed. The next few generations should be interesting. With a bit of luck they will cross with my Rio Cuiuni X orange marbles, the Cuiuni were crossed to strenghten the blood line, unfortunately I recently lost the Cuiuni parents. I also have some F1 leopoldi/dumerilli the last of their wild caught parents died recently aged 13 years, they first bred for me in 1998 Most are sold to the local shops, the leopoldi mainly go to wholesalers in the eastern states.
