fishbites Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 I've just got myself some etching cream and thanks to a very nice person - a stencil to use it with... The actual fish logo is from a photo of the very first adult male betta I raised - I used photoshop to turn it into a black & white line art drawing (not the best work but it looks ok if you're not a Betta judge or an art critic). Then I got a person to make a stencil for me. She duplicated the betta drawing and put the lettering and bubbles to make a logo. The colours are from a type of wax that will only adhere to the etched area - I rubbed on the colours that I wanted and then buffed it off with a soft cloth and hey presto! The etching cream was easy to use and only took a few minutes to apply and then rinse off with water. Not sure now whether I'll brand some of my home made tanks with it to show off or what I'll do. Thought I'd show this off incase it's of any use to anyone else.
davo Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 You can probably do a few prints, say 5 of them and put them in a frame I'm sure some will love to have something like this hanging in their houses.

I didn't think of it till now but etching some small mirrors with the stencil - good presents for fishy people.
