Notorious
Hi Guys I have just bought a second hand 2' fish tank as a breeder tank I cleaned it out using a vinegar and water solution, filled half way with water. Now looking into it i noticed a few miniscule white things, almost like a tiny BBS moving around??....upon closer inspection i also saw 3-4 what looked like microworms? I havent put any fish in there yet, are these dangerous bugs? how should i clean my tank to get rid of them if they are? They are on the other end of the tank, not near the java moss so they arent brought in from the moss from another tank? help please
Bettarazzi
Probably just planaria and some kind of water flea. Nothing to worry about. Fish will eat them. I often get that when i start a new tank.
Notorious
Legend! cheers phew, thats relief! ps, do i have to rinse activated carbon before putting into corner/platform filter?
Bettarazzi
Just a quick rinse under that tap is fine. You're just trying to get off any dust or fine particles.
