pleco987
am I right in thinking sponge filters don't use electricity? I feel really stupid asking this but I've just ordered one and Im not entirely sure how they work >.< They do use electricity but in the form of an air pump, the bubbles are released at the bottem (inside a tube covered with holes and encased in foam) then move up thrugh a vertical pipe, creating a flow of water through the foam and up the tube, the flow is gental enogh to be used with fry and that is why it is so popular. hope u understand because the first time i looked at one(on my biorb) i was stummped but if you understand it thats great. hope i've helped Gaza :D
