Betta_Endeavours
I spotted http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auc...&1193977741 and later http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/auc...&1194396839 . I love the way the crowning/webbing is on their tails. Is it purely random or more like the King CT/Cross ray where it can be passed on? If I can introduce it to my CT marbles and eventually have them coming out like that it would be great.
Fishchick
the first is a double double ray (DDR), the second a DR with Balock. This can be bred for. The balock trait is desirable.
Betta_Endeavours
How odd because I got a DDR CT and it doesn't look like the first one. Can I put yellow into the blue marble line safely? Here is what my DDR looked like during Auction http://www.aquabid.com/cgi-bin/auction/clo...tasct1181953923 Edited October 31, 2007 by Betta Endeavours
misfit
Both are DDR (so i am lead to believe) both are same age. I guess its just one is more pronounced
Bettarazzi
Yes, I think it's the individual fish's ability to spread those rays out that makes a difference. When you're selecting breeders out of your F1 fry to do an F2 spawn, one of the things you should look for is their ability to hold their rays open. And also look for ones that have greater webbing in the double rays.
Betta_Endeavours
I have to try my DDR again. I tried him with my LFS blue CT and she kicked his butt from one side of the tank to the other :giggle:
