Sarah
When I got up this morning, I noticed my guppy male was looking dead - then he moved.. swimming almost upside down, seemingly paralyzed. Video - Does anybody have any ideas what could have caused this, and if it can be cured?
blackworm
That certainly resembles a swim bladder infection. Rather than say much about it I think I'll just link you to a good page on it. http://www.petfish.net/articles/Bettas/swimbladder_betta.php
Sarah
Thanks Blackworm, hopefully it is only SBD. I've had it multiple times before with my Bettas, but never like this....

Sarah
Sadly this little fella died. Still not quite sure WHAT it was, I don't think it was SBD.

Matt_95
Could have been. Was it stuck around the top? I've had that happen when I don't add salt.
Sarah
Nope, he was all over the place... stopping to rest at the bottom, then spiraled over again.
blackworm
I've had several guppies die that way (in fact it's the main mode of death amongst my guppies) but to be honest all mine tend to have lost all their colour by the time they're floundering like that (and yours doesn't look like it has) which is why SBD came to mind. Sorry you lost the little fella.
