I dont want to get something too powerful and blast them but I need it to work too. Do I work out how much water will be in the barracks in total? Or how high I have to push it to get to the top? fishbites Posted July 26, 2011 Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 all of the above with the pump - its got to be powerful enough to get the water to the height of the top level of jars..... look for the pump's "head height" - most box listings are pretty accurate from my experience testing them..... the sump needs to have enough water to function and enough space for all the water up in the pipes to drain back down when the pump is off...
