briztoon
I find it hard to get decent photos of my wild type bettas. Here are a couple of my smaragdina male. He has really coloured up in the last two weeks and has built a bubble nest under an IAL today.
Sarah
Nice colours! Too bad he was clampy for the photos. Bettas (both wilds and splendens) don't seem to like photos, do they? Great shots though. :D
briztoon
I haven't seen my female for the past day and a half. So this afternoon when I got home I went to pull the tank apart to find her. I got as far as putting my hand in the tank, when the very irate male dashed around my hand. So I pulled my hand out and had a proper look in the tank and found a bubble nest. I fed the tank some BBS and this bought the female out of hiding. She's not beaten up, but she is definately hurting some, as she is not swimming properly. It's like she has a limp. I have moved the female in to a fry net that still is in the tank. It has a couple of IAL in it to provide cover for her.
