jmak
Hi guys, apologies if i posted in the wrong place. I have a fantail that i have in a vase because it was developing an open wound in the main tank. few days ago i bought brand new fish food (sinking pellets) bcuz i ran out. i was about to feed the 1 in the vase ... and i slipped and spilt the entire thing into the vase.... i thought oh cr*p... grabbed the fish out of the vase and put it back into the main tank for now. ( i couldnt even see it in the vase, it was filled with pellets, i thumbled around to get it out ) now i gathered as much of the pellets as i can. but they were all soaking wet. i was wondering if its still ok to use them again? they wouldnt go moldy and stuff would they? they're all soggy right now, when i shake it it wobbles like jelly. thanks in advanced. pilchard
i dont think you can use them unless u freeze them and break a bit off, but i would think they would just break up and pollute the tank before they got eaten.
Anasfire
I'd say if they havent swollen too much, as in you drained them out of the water fairly quickly, you could lay them out on a sheet of allo foil or baking paper in the sun for a few hours and they should dry again, being usable again. Obviously not on a windy day and they'd need to be in full sun. This should stop them going mouldy (if they haven't already) also. Otherwise just right the container off and get a new one.
