Marianne
Just wondering if anyone knows if there's any risk involved in keeping mystery snails in an outdoor pond, in regards to them spreading I mean. The nearest natural pond/river is about 2-300 metres from here. The reason I ask is I occasionally find ramshorn snails and pond snails in there, which I didn't put in, but they seem to thrive. Seriously, the biggest pond snails I've ever seen live in my pond. Their shells must be 1.5-2 cm long. So I thought, because I have lots and lots of mystery snails, they might thrive in the pond and help control algae. But if there's any risk of them spreading then obviously I won't.
