I Love My Fishies
Ok so I am starting a planted 3ft (180-200L) tank my first addition to my newly cycled tank (went through a 4 week process of fishless cycling before I added fish) are two angels they are happy and settled and now I am wanting to add some Bolivian and Blue Rams. My question is if I get a pair (m&f) of each will they live together happily or will they fight?
Stuart Elflett
If they do co-exist happily (and they should, it's a big enough tank to be able to 'get away' from each other) they probably won't come breeding time - all three species *are* cichlids, and will protect their eggs/spawning area - even the rams... as long as those spawning areas are well away from the territory of the other fish, it'll be fine, but even gentle little blue rams turn into growling attack dogs when they're breeding...
