Snowflake
Hi guys hope everyone is well. All is going great with Cherry The FS sold me Hikari Betta Bio-Gold. They told me to give only 2 pellets per day however the manufacturer recommends 2 to 4 pellets 2 to 3 times daily. What do you think?
Chuckie
Remember that a betta's stomach is as big as his eye. So I'd err on the side of smaller servings, twice a day, personally. But there is no "right" answer to your question. 4 pellets in one feeding is the most I would consider good for him. But even 4 pellets in a feeding isn't "overfeeding" in the sense of what most people new to fish do. I know you worry about things, but keeping fish is more like making a salad than baking a cake. If one of the ingredients isn't measured 100% accurately, your salad will not be a failure, unlike a cake. Whether you feed 2 or 3 or 4 pellets at a time, as long as he is still hungry afterwards, it's all good. Try and relax!

Betta_Di
A full size betta I will normally feed 6 pellets spread over a couple of feeds (i.e. 2 feeds of 3 pellets) for smaller fish I would reduce the size accordingly. Most VTs from the LFS are full size. Cheers, Di P.S. I love Hikari Bio Gold for my big guys :cheer:
