Just fed them so they're all a bit agitated - but, the guppies have been in there for about 5 day now and seem quite happy......

I was advised against this, but, if it aint broke?

or is this a disaster waiting to dis-ast?

(man ain't nothin' but a fool soundtrack, felt appropriate for a beyonce single ladiez tank)

I had a school of four medaka I added temporarily to my sorority to test their reaction to having some schoolers in there. Well about 15 minutes later I had a female swimming around with a half-consumed medaka and the others were quivering over in the corner and being attacked by the smallest female.

However, I have seen others with sororities co-existing peacefully within a community tank so it obviously does work. I'd just keep eyes on it and if seems like the guppies can hold their own it should be alright.

also, there's the factor of how valuable those 3 females are to you. they could probably hold their own (or at least run away long enough for you to notice harrasment signs?) but i definitely wouldn't risk it on pricey fish. our wallets are holey enough as is XD

Oh, sorry ness. When I clicked play, it played the sorority video, so I had to view it on YouTube to find the one with the guppies... Strange.

Any who, it's your choice, I never had probs in the past with guppies and bettas... :)

Ps. LOVE the music!

I'd say they'll get on fine but any male betta would shred the fins of any male guppy he saw, well the long finned ones anyway.

EDIT: In my experience!
