5monsterdiscus Posted August 2, 2013 Report Share Posted August 2, 2013 i have had this tank for almost 6 years, it is fully plated has clay,sand and potting mix with an addition of root tablets and some peat moss to lower the ph i am very happy with the way this tank is going as i have one snakeskin discus that eat straight out of my hand and 6 guppies that keep him entertained. my initial idea was to aquascape the tank when i first set it up and now that its taken off i just cut it back every few months. i have recently set up another tank as i am obscenest with aquariums and fish, this new tank has 4 red German bred discus and 1 pigeon blood discus. the reason why i signed up to this forum is that i like reading and finding new things that can make my crazy obsession grow.
