female problems

well, i bought two female bettas, hearing all over that they can be co-housed, but from the moment i got them (just pet shop variety, kind of like the wild ones tbh) one has been severely psychotic toward the other female, and the male when i put all 3 in together, so i took both girls out into one tank, and the same female attacked the other, actually taking huge chunks out of her anal and tail fins :P , resulting in me having to seperate them. is this normal? they were both in the same tank along with others when i bought them, and yet i cant keep them together now.

maybe the fact that she is pretty scarred up (the savage one) might have been a warning... :dontknow:

anyone have some idaes that may help with my agro girl?

yes, very common. You need to either add more females to displace the aggression, or house them separately. A good excuse to buy more girls, if you have room! :P

good news then! :dontknow: i'll have to start buying some breed quality girls now wont i :P lol
