Watermaid Posted April 4, 2010 Report Share Posted April 4, 2010 Hi all, Just here to introduce my family Ive been a betta owner for about few months and have 8 bettas... we did have 9 but Bluey, the 2nd fish given to me, died about a month back. I belive he may have had dropsey? when i got him he was rather bloated in his belly. i tried fasting him etc etc but it never went away and up untill the day he died he ate, swam about, pooped etc etc happily. So Im not to sure what killed him. Our Fish are all veil tails? are they the "common ones" you see in your pet shops? ... srry not great on fish genes yet... except one Indyana Jones... hes a crown tail with a black body and blood red fins. Fell in love with him the first time i saw him. Flamie and Indy are the only fighters I have bought the rest were given to me. Flamie was our first fighter a beautiful red... he has the longest fins ives seen on a fighter...get a bit worried about that but he seems happy we were then given Bluey and Paddy... Bluey a royal blue colour and paddy dark green Next came the girls and Sticky. 2 females and i have no idea what type they are but lol i learnt they like to jump... and thankfully she jumped in with the males and not the otherway onto the floor where the cat could get her we named them Jane both of them .. infact any females we get will be called Jane more than likey. One has blue and red markings on her fins and the other's fins are clear or grey/brown .. pretty much what ever colour she is and she goes from very pale to very dark. sticky is a maroon purple colour.. beautiful but I dont think hes a young fish... Ranga and Sunday were given to us next. Ranga is orange with pink highlights on his body and sunday has a white body with denim blue colouring that speckles up on his body. and lastly came Indy our crown tail. and thats my watery family.
