BettaBetta
I just went over to PetCity MtGravatt to grab a new API Master test kit and stopped by to have a look at the Bettas on the way out. They had 4 or 5 Giants & they were absolutely Giant, I'm talking HUGE, ranging in price between $14 & $22. The guy muttered something about them having been reduced down from $60'ish'. They keep theirs carded bless their cotton sox & he gave me a flaring demo of these boys who acted on cue.
fishbites
Great price for giants!!! Only a betta fanatic would pay $60 plus for a betta though so you might end up with a bargain there if you want to get into giants.... Were they nice colours or just ordinary multi's? BettaBetta
Great price for giants!!! Only a betta fanatic would pay $60 plus for a betta though so you might end up with a bargain there if you want to get into giants.... Were they nice colours or just ordinary multi's? LOL By the time I'm done I would've paid $60 for all of my boys & I never intend to breed them, ever! I'm flat out looking after them & their unstable little ways without worrying about fry to boot. Those giants were bigger than any I've ever seen and weren't too unattractive at all - the particularly huge one just looked like a massive big red/blue plakat. How can I explain this diplomatically - I know I wasn't at all repulsed when I looked at them if that makes sense ... normally I just shrug and say, "Meh!" or go so far as to say, "Dang that's unattractive" lol lol. If you've noticed the very fussy style of HM boy that I've become so enraptured with ... well ... if the day ever comes that they bred Giant HM's like that, I'll strip the house of furniture & have walls of the slippery little tail eating suckers.. BettaBetta
Chuckles, not likely Paul, not from this quarter ... come spend a day at mine & see how many hours I spend fiff-faffin' around with nothing but a handful of boys to worry about - I think of 300 jam jars, even 100, & it does my head in well & truly - I don't even want to know about 20 jars! Formerly I used to rise at 9am, 10am if I felt like it - nowadays I wake up at pre-dawn my brain screaming, "Fish, fish ... test the water now!" Did I ever mention how cycling with fish has been just a tad stressful, poor wee devils. I managed to stay away from my lfs for 3 whole days & when I went in this arvo to buy another "house" the owner said he'd got real worried thinking something must've happened to me, lmao. He showed the appropriate shock when I told him even my BBS hatched & promptly up & died. Neffy, I've seen someone's pair & they're lovely! Anasfire
Yep I saw that pair while I was there and they are HUGE! Gorgeous too, his tail is massive and it seems more like a rosetail gene in person. Ps BettaBetta, when replying below a post you are answering you don't need to use quotes, it's just like carrying on a conversation! lol I only mention it coz I know lilli will sooner rather than later if you keep doing it. There's a rule/sticky about 'inappropriate use of quotes' somewhere on the board.
