Omg I might finally have a spawn!

I don't want to jinx myself but I might finally have a spawn again after so long. I put my male Brontie in the breeding tub yesterday, after he'd spent weeks next to a tank with Fang and Casey (my two crowntail girls) and he was always building a bubble nest. Well Brontie spent about twenty minutes sussing the tub out, then set to work building about 6 different bubble nests all over the place. I carefully shifted one nest inside the cup and he happily kept working on that one. I introduced Casey in a jar and left her in there for a few hours then let her out. This morning I got to witness them doing the whole wrapping thing in the cup and although I dont think Brontie got to squeeze much out of her, it seems there could be eggs. They were at it for ages, then finally he did the whole chasing her around thing so I rescued her and put her back in her own tank. Brontie is now doing the whole 'good daddy' thing so fingers crossed. I'm so excited its ridiculous!

Thanks for that! Its very nerve wracking I tell you. He is hanging around inside the cup a lot so I'm hoping there are eggs in there at the back but I dont want to disturb him to see if there are or not. I can't even remember how many days until there are tails. Can someone refresh my memory please?

I've had them move them before, I think it is normal. But yeah maybe try not to disturb him to much, I know there is a discussion around here somewhere about the possibilities that egg eaters (and such) are because of interruptions. Which I think was the case in one of my spawns where the dad ate all the newly hatched babies - because I stuck my big head up to the tank to squiz at them - next time i went back they where all gone - so I try to keep a distance from the tank now or not squiz to long lol. but that's all just 'theory' not concrete evidence to say its fact LOL
