zhong89
I've found that in fish keeping live food are the biggest expense especially brine shrimp eggs which we hatch for our spawns. I remember reading on this forum a number of members has purchased Brine shrimp eggs from ebay and has so far no complaints. All I'm proposing is an idea what if we all get together and buy brine shrimp eggs from them as a group? Of course we'll be dealing with the supplier individually (how much we need and when we need it, I'm sure most of us has an ebay account). But as a group we have more power to ask for an discount, because if the deal is good. the supplier will not only just land one sale but a number of regular clients who will purchase the product over time. Has anyone tried this way before? Any thoughts? Most importantly is anyone willing to join this discount group? Better yet is anywhere else good for getting quality brine shrimp eggs good value? splendidbetta
I buy my brine shrimp eggs from http://www.primo.net.au The one I bought was "INVE GSL Artemia AAA <90% 425g Can $65.00". The hatch rate is great. See http://www.primo.net.au/?page=catlist&id=1 A group could pool their funds together to buy a can and divide it amongst themselves, or sell small portions of it. fishbites
The retail website of the mob Stefan mentioned is here At one stage they had cans available for $33 (the hatch rate was pretty good for the amount that I need) but just checking now they only have the higher hatch rate eggs available. If you buy a carton of 12 cans you get it for the price of 10 cans (so 2 cans free per carton - not a bad discount)
