ninoid12
I dont know, but i can give SOME sort of feedback in regards to her selling- I have purchased off aquabid. And i have gotten fish below the standard i wanted. And not the fish from photos. With someone, the fish ARE the fish in the pix. That is such a relief when you pay that much. I save and save for good, nice fish. Its worth it. But of course, i started small. Very cheap, veiltails for $7 and females $5 at local fish shop. I wouldnt expect anyone starting out to feel obliged to buy $100 pairs, plus postage. Sometimes ppl on here have fish for sale, at cheaper prices. Some even ship (usually $20-30 per box im pretty sure). So put a "wanted" ad in the classifieds. If it goes onto the next page with time, bump it up. Im sure ppl wouldnt mind helping out with selling off some of their extra spawns. As for me, i am seriously considering getting a courier account. My current spawn are very nice cheers, nina
Callatya
You are in a sucky position Yatzy, because trying to buy from the eastern states will cop you one hefty shipping fee. Your best bet to save costs would be to team up with others in WA to share shipping, or try and find someone/somewhere locally that can get you different types. I know that is a big ask, but there are fish importers in WA and there are bettas in WA, so somewhere someone is making choices off a list as to which ones to buy. Find them and improve their choices!
Chuckie
BTW, don't PM Jodi-Lea - she asks that you instead use email.
yatzy
Thanks for the replies all. Had the craziest day just let my HM dragon female out of the plastic bottle into the tank on a hunch because they had been in sight of each other for about 4 days now and the male was tending to a rather pathetic nest under a floating plant which the bubbles congregated into giant bubbles. Had to leave to other matters the whole day after releasing in the morning and this morning BAM! saw some eggs in the nest or whatever my SD dragon boy wants to call it LOL. Nice big clump of eggs and female is super skinny right now. Both have a decent amount of fin damage but no body wounds. Male does have an awfully big tummy though and when i tried feeding he wasn't intrested but i've seen him spit out eggs into the nest so hopefully the big tummy is just from the conditioning days. Will start a spawn log if babies survive to free swimming stage.
yatzy
We have tails. Panicked a little because in the mornig and afternoon didn't see any tails but just got back from work and I couldn't be more prouder. Dad is great, I don't doubt him a bit at all. Hope he doesn't get too hungry though lol.
