Callatya
I thought I'd take a picture of this guy while I was doing the babies. When I first saw him he was 180* and had that sort of soft flare, not the really angry rip-your-head-off one. I've got him free-ranging around the juvie jars to keep everyone on their toes

Bender
He's very pretty! Is the colour in the photo true to life? He looks silver and gold all at once!
Chuckie
IRL to me he just looked like a black lace with irid.
Callatya
He's quite pale in the body, sort of a smoky look. Black lace would probably be the closest you'd get to accurate description. I'll try and get some daylight pics next time, they might be more realistic :)
luv_my_fish
Ooo nice How do you take such decent pics? I tried taking some of my first spawn because I want to sell some, but I can't take pics for the life of me!

davo
What I think and know is that you need a good camera if you want to capture pics like this. I personally use a FujiFilm Finepix F100fd. Sorry to hijack thread... http://cgi.ebay.com.au/FUJI-FinePix-F100fd...34.c0.m14.l1262 I bought it off these mob and they seem pretty good!.. Callatya
Ahhh, it doesn't need to be too flashy. I do my pics on a 4MP Canon G2, which I think we got around 2002. It was a good camera then, but it is kind of a glorified doorstop by today's standards It weighs a small ton, takes aaaages to charge and. The main thing you need is control over the flash, a small minimum focal distance, and good macro. Pretty much everything else can be worked with. I'll get some how-to pictures next time I set it all up He looks very different with the flash than he does without. I have a vague memory of him having a light BF/banded pattern in the tail, but I can't see it on him now so I could be imagining things. He's a lovely fish though He's currently the fish rack mascot ;)
