holycow
alas, did not work. one moment, shrimp was gliding to the bottom of the tank, next moment twas in a betta's mouth, and no, they weren't kissing. oh well

holycow
not expensive shrimp. not silly enough to pay $20 for CRS. just expendible ghosties. wasn't really an experiment. was thinking, 'oh, there's algae in the tank. wonder if the shrimp can take care of it? oh.... betta seems to like shrimp!' like a dog with a bone! holycow
too big to swallow whole but small enough for the betta to get part of it into it's mouth
Lyarlla
Geeze, you'd think small shrimp would be a great idea to go and eat any scraps. But not if they then go on to become scraps :)

darennkj
Mine would bully/kill anything smaller than it's body lenght that goes into his tank...it just seems to go for anything small that moves. Did yours ended up eating the little shrimp?
